139 Glossy Scarf / Banner

Hello

First of all i want to apologize i haven't posted any tutorial last days. I was very busy creating another websites.
One of them is www.gfxpoint.com ( adsense revenue sharing )
I have also worked for a few new blogs. In this blogs i will post some tips and tricks to create money on internet. I will disclose some of my secrets, and all the ways you can build websites, bring traffic, and some great marketing strategies. ( including stats, screen shots and revenue )

Now let's come back to our tutorials

Today i will create Tutorial Number 139 from 500 Tutorial Marathon
I have received a lot of request by mail on how to create the following scarf

I will show you know how simple is to create this scarf if you have the right brushes

Open a new document, 600 x 600 pixels
Then create a new layer ( press CTRL+SHIFT+ALT+N )
Select a scarf brush. If you don' have this type of brushes you can find in this PACK

Load some banners brushes, from Talk-Mania Big-Pack , then create a simple drawing with a brush you like most

Select Burn Tool , and use the following settings

And start drawing with burn tool on the following areas

Now create a new layer above the green scarf
To create a new layer please click in the same time on ( CTRL+SHIFT+ALT+N )

Then grab Brush tool, and with a Soft rounded brush ( 200-250 pixels )
Make some drawings like me

You can notice that i have used a black background, in this way you can see better what i am doing

Now for the last layer change the blending mode to Overlay

This is my result

Now select the Green scarf layer, and go to Select > Load Selection
Then Select > Inverse

Select the last layer. the layer with white stripes. After you have selected this layer press" Delete " key from your keyboard

Press CTRL+D to deselect
This is my result

Now select the two layers ( the green scarf , and the white stripes )

when you have tis 2 layers selected press on CTRL+E (this will merge this layers into a single one )

Now we have to repeat this steps from above. so let's start by creating a new layer above the green scarf layer

With brush tool create the same stripes ( THIS TIME USE A SMALLER BRUSH SIZE )

Change the blending mode for this layer to Overlay
Load the selection for the Green scarf layer
Go to Select > inverse
Select the top layer from your Layer Palette and press on Delete " key
Press CTRL+D to deselect
Select both layers and merge them into a single one
This is my result

Now repeat the steps from above one more time or maybe 2 times.
The last time when you repeat this steps, try to set the blending mode for the white strips to HUE

This is my final result

If you want to change the color for this scarf, please use the HUE / Saturation setting
To open the Hue/ Saturation window press on CTRL+U

See you tomorrow for another tutorial.
