3D Logo with Metal borders

Hello Friends

This is the Tutorial number 28 from the 100 Marathon Tutorial
As i have told you i will try to add a tutorial each day.

Today i will create another 3D logo because i have received over 40 private messages from Talk-Mania members. if you have another sugestions please ask here
This is what i will show you how to do it in this tutorial.

Start with a new document 400x400 px with a white Background.

Create a new layer ( press CTRL+SHIFT+ALT+N )
Select the Rounded Rectangle Tool ( radius set to 40 px ) and draw a small rectangle:

Now we will ad a layer style for this rectangle:

The next gradient is used for Gradient Overlay settings.

The next image is the Gradient used for the stroke settings

The result should look like this:

Now Create one more Rounded Rectangle ( this time you need to create a smaller rounded rectangle) Place this rectangle on the middle of the other one )
Use the aligniament buttons. Select Move tool and you can see the aligniament tools:

Place it like me:

Then we will add another layer style for this new rectangle:

And here is my result after i have applied this layer style:

You can use this as a button but i will add more details and we will create a 3D styel logo.

Now we will create a new document , because we will create a pattern.So create a new document 2 x 2 px with a transparent background

Zoom this document to 1600 % and with the pencil tool create something like me:

Then go to Edit > Define Pattern , Choose a name for your pattern and click OK.

Now we will return to our logo.
Select Elipse Tool and draw a small circle and apply the layer style which we have used for the first rounded rectangle:

After you have applied this layer style create another circle and place it like me. You can notice that i have created a smaller circle:

Then we will apply a layer style for this small black circle:

This is the result:

We will add another things. From this step you can add a custom shape or you can add a letter, or a star , or what you want.

I will add a star
Select Polygon Tool and draw a small start with 5 sides ( you can set the sides for the top of your screen , after you press on Polygon Tool )

Also i will add a star in the middle of my circles:

Now we will add a layer style for this star:

The next image is to modify the Contour for Bevel and Emboss settings:

The next image is to modify the Contour for Contour settings:

The next image is to modify the Contour for Satin settings:
