I really don't know how it looks on photoshop 7.0 . Try to download a free copy of photoshop to see if you still has the same problem

I am having problems with the Skew, everytime I move it, it never looks like yours, as I can see on yours the writing seems to be moving away from the bottom line and getting smaller.

Hey nice effect sometimes 3D effect can be made easily using CTRL + ALT and up arrow.

Unfortunately I ran into the same problem that everyone else is having. I can create it so that it looks 3D, but the shiny glossy look (basically everything that has the yellow tint look in the example of "talk") is all white, so it doesn't give the "shiny" feel as the example does.

I am using Photoshop CS3 so I'm sure it does not have to do with versions (unless this tutorial is outdated). Does anyone know how to add the shiny look?

Also, as a tip, different sizes of logo's need different sizes of bevels as well as stroke. I found 5px stroke to be way too much for a small logo I was doing. Lowering it eliminated some of the white I was getting, but still did not produce the results. Playing with the bevel options a bit helped some too, but still, not the results shown in this tutorial.

STEP 2 : Now select Move Tool ( or press V on your keyboard )
STEP 3 : Press one time on your RIGHT arrow from your keyboard, then press one time on the UP arrow. You will have the following result ( which is not so visible for the moment)



Be sure you select always the top layer from your layer palette, then follow carefully the 3 steps from above

After i have duplicated the top layer a few times i got the following result
