I will show you how to create a simple button with a metal look



Open a new document in photo shop
Draw a rectangle like in the following image:



Then apply the following layer styles


















This is my final image

thats what im doing! xD lol

imo the emboss is a bit to big on it looks a bit blocky ... but the effect is amazing i really like it obviously i know to just lower the emboss to suit me i'm just giving some crit

Scorpion if you create a big button you have to lower the emboss settings

These are great! where do I find that last menu option about the gradients (ie solid, smoothness) this one turns out ok when I skipped that part but an other one (the metal rimmed round edeged color button didn't look so hot when I skipped it lol)

You can find the last gradient settings on STROKE
