This is the Tutorial number 34 from the 100 Marathon Tutorial
As i have told you i will try to add a tutorial each day.

I will show you how to chane a normal photo to a illustration.

The best way is to do it with a wacom tablet.
But always exist a alternative.

Open a photo. i will choose one more time a photo with Angelina Jolie



Now press CTRL+J to duplicate the layer

Now press D on your keyboard.
This will change the colors for foreground and background colors

Now go to Filter > Sketch > Stamp and use the following settings:



You can play alone with the settings.This depends very much about what photo you want to work on.

Now with this Black - White Layer selected go to:
Filter > Brush Stroke > Accented Edges and use the following settings:



Now change the opacity to 60 % for this layer.



Select the Background layer.
Select the eraser tool and start to erase the backgroun where you think it is not good. For example in our image the hair doesn't look good.
Before you start to erase be sure you have pressed D and X
now start erasing the image.



After you are happy with the result we will go further.
I will show you only hot to create the eyes.

With the Elipse tool create 2 circles with a green color or blue.



After that Drag this 2 circles under the black - white layer:



In this way you can add as many details you want. Shadows if you want to create something more complicated.

Now we have to merge all the layers. For this you have to select all the layers and press CTRL+E

Now with your burn tool start to create some details , like shadows and other stuff.

For this kind of design you need a lot of time if you are doing this with a mouse.
In the next image you will see my final result and the places where i have used the Burn Tool



Duplicate this layer ( CTRL+J )

Now if you want to add also another details you can go to
Filter > Sketch > Halftone Pattern
Press ok

For this layer change the blending mode to HARD MIX
Then you need to change also the opacity to 15-20 %

And this is my result:



Of course you can add more details.
