Creating buttons in Macromedia Fireworks 8

So.. this is my first tut and i will apriciate any comments and/or critics.

1. Open your program and start a new blank document. Mine is 700 x 600 px ready to become an web layout.

2. Fill your page whit the design and place the text for your buttons.

3. Select one button an than press F8. It will apear a small window and you will select from there the last option on radio buttons and give a name for the button ( ex. home, about etc. ) and click OK.

4. You will observe that the program automaticly makes a slice cut around your button.

5. If you double click-it you will see that a new window apears and you cand select from there the phases of your button:

6. On Over phase ( see image ) you cand select different filters to add to make the button look nice.

re make this step ( 6 ) to the rest of the phases: up, over, down, over while down

7. at active area you can set up the link of your button and the area in wich the button will be active.

8. after you completed the phases and you click Done you are finished whit your button.

9.another way to add your link to this button select the button just made and look down to see that you have a link space where you will add the url or simple write "index.htm" or something to link to this button.
