webpage size?

hi guys! i'm also a newbie, i've watched a few video tuts in dreamweaver and the slicing of the photoshop layout is not explained that much. any tips on what ideal size should i make the webpage layout in photoshop? i mean the most commonly used layout size so as not to experience those dis-aligned slices.

basic tips on slices and related matter if you have in mind too.

cheers!!!

thanks and God Bless!!!

The best plan is to look on your display window of the control panel, this will give you a list of commonly used sizes. around 1200 800 should do it though.

I've always thought 800 x 600 pixels. But what do I know, I'm a newbie too!

Basically, it depends on what monitor size you have. Different monitor sizes need different sizes.

Have a look at http://www.useit.com/alertbox/screen_resolution.html

Are you using tables? make sure your align="left" valign="top" are set, might help the aligning issues.

Cheers
