Can some expert help with a logo, please? Thanks

Hello,

As yoy can see I am not a graphic designer, I would like to improve this logo. It has to be in black, but has to be a way to make it look better. I do not know, may be some glossy effect or something very professional, any ideas, tutorials, procedure or example, will be very much appreciated.
