Well, my I'm not too sure what my FireWire cable does, but I do have a DV cable now, although, it's not picking it up... My Dad, whom doesn't live with me, works with cameras because he is a film director, but the thing is he said that it's probably because I need to take off my battery in order to plug my DV calbe and he said power is needed for it to be able to transfer, and that's where I got stuck because: In order for me to connect my DV cable, I need to take off my battery for the Camera because its behind the battery! This is my camera here: http://www.outletspot.net/img/Camara...rios/200/2.jpg If you can see that there is a battery under the eye lens, I have to remove that battery in order to plug in my DV Cable...

Ok...a quick Google search for your camera and I may have found your answer. Here's copied text from what I found...
Another questionable design decision puts the FireWire and USB ports for transferring video to your PC under the battery. As a result, you must remove the battery and plug your AC cables into the wall before you can transfer video. So it looks like I would use a FireWire cable and then plug in your AC cables, to capture the video. |
