How do I get to this wicked Pop Art?

Allo Allo,

Can someone please explain step by step how this picture has been created? I've been fiddling around with Photoshop CS3 for the last 2 days to get this original to look like the one done in pop art - and have been close but i'm looking for an exact match

Unfortunately the person who did this has gone to South America for a year and we don't have her contact details - D'oh!

When you look at this photo you will see that there's around 5 different colours - Black, white and 3 different shades of grey. The picture is also quite smooth

In my Photoshop CS3:

So far i've already tried - Image, adjustment the Black & White

Then: Image, Adjustment, levels - which has got me some way there.

I've also gone: Filter, artisitic and then cutout - which has also been close - i've played around with the levels there too - but the photo is still really grey and not white like the end product.

If someone could give me a hand with the last part of it then that would be great. It's an awesome effect, so would be great for others to know too.

I feel a tutorial coming on... (go on admin...)

Thanks,

R

Both original and end picture (what i'm trying to do) attached.n744610019_502710_5625[1].jpg

Pop art

you can use some methods from the following tutorials:

Prepare Sketches for Graphic Tablets
3D render to Wireframe effect
Pop Art Comic - 2 Different Methods

try to use different settings in each tutorial, and you will have almost the same result
Please let me know if this helps you
