How to add virtual hosts without restart in apache

I am just wondering how do I add a virtual host in apache without restarting the service. I am going to be making a script to automatically make vhosts, but I don't want apache to restart each time. Thanks a lot!

I think it is possible because web hosting companies can add virtual hosts without restarting apache everytime.
