How to convert video and transfer it to iPhone

The iPhone is a multimedia smartphone designed by Apple Inc; announced on January 9, 2007. Though lacking of a physical keyboard, iPhone has lots of functions, from universal text messaging, email, to visual voicemail, web browsing, Wi-Fi connectivity, etc, which can be operated via its virtual keyboard. And most important, it's a portable media player. It supports music, audiobook, podcast, application and video. Fun is always with you if an iPhone is in your hands.

So, most iPhone users like to watch movies on this beautiful handset. However, according to iPhone's official page, there are many techinical specifications as follows for iPhone video file:

Video Format: MP4, MOV, M4V
Video Size: up to 640x480
Video Framerate: up to 30fps
Video Bitrate: up to 1.5Mbps for H.264, or 2.5Mbps for MPEG-4
Audio: AAC up to 160Kbps, 48kHz

For this reason , if you have an iPhone and want to play movies on it, you need to convert the video first. Follow below steps to get iPhone playable videos. (If you're using a Mac, please check this Mac tutorial)

Step 1 : need a converter

To convert video for iPhone, you need a video converter. Download and install Any Video Converter from this link.

Step 2 : select iPhone video format

Launch converter and in the program, select Apple iPhone/iPod Touch MPEG-4 Movie from Profile drop down list.

Step 3 : convert video

Press Add Video button to add video in the program and press Encode button to convert:

Or just drag and drop the video from hard disk to program.

Step 4 : find output file

Once encoding is finished, go to left panel, click on the Apple iPhone label. And in the middle window, right click on the converted file and select Open File Location, then you can check this video in the output folder from the hard drive.
iPhone video is converted successfully

Step 5 : import video into iTunes

Launch iTunes, go to menu File > Add File to Library to import target movie from output folder into iTunes; or just drag and drop the movie into iTunes.

Step 6 : transfer video to iPhone

There are many ways to transfer converted video to iPhone through iTunes after it's connected with your computer via USB cable.
1) Press the Sync button under Summary tab. This will sync the videos as well as other items like music, TV shows, podcasts, audiobook, photos and applications;
2) Under Movies tab, select Sync movies > All movies, and press Sync button;
3) Under Movies tab, select Sync movies > Selected movies, choose the video in the pane, and press Sync button.
Or check this syncing tutorial page to know more on how to sync your devices with iTunes.

After a while, the sync will be complete. Now, check your iPhone:

Have fun!
