Exercise: Abstract 2

To do this exercise, we’ll use 4/5 Filters, so we can get the final Effect we want.
1- Open a blank image, of following dimensions:

2- Create a New Layer, and fill it with black colour.
3- Let’s apply first Filter, so go to menu Filter ==> Render ==> and click on Lens Flare, and configure as next: click on the center of your image, and just select the option: 35 mm Prime, and click on OK button, and you’ll get this:

4- After that, we’ll apply another Filter, so go to menu Filter ==> Sketch ==> and click on Chrome, and do as following instructions: DETAILS =5 and SMOOTHNESS = 4.
5- Give a name = Layer 1 to that Layer, and Duplicate it.
6- Give a name to duplicated Layer =Layer 2, and apply one more Filter, by going : Menu Filter ==> Stylize ==> and click on Extrude, and apply following configurations:

Just check out the effect you got !!!!
7- Now with the same layer selected (Layer 2) apply another Filter: Filter ==> Render ==> Difference Clouds.
8- Again we’ll apply a Filter, which will give some colour to the layers, such as: FILTER ==> RENDER ==>LIGHTING EFFECTS, and apply following configurations:

9- Now, change the Layer’s Blending Mode to Difference….
10- Duplicate the 2nd layer, and name it to Layer 3…
11- Now, we’ll apply a Filter to 3rd Layer: Filter ==> Distort ==>Wave, and apply following configurations:

12- Try to change Blending Mode, by your choice…. I left it just Difference…
13- Now use Text tool, and write something of your choice….here is my Final Abstract Wallpaper:
