Step 1 : Open the picture.



Step 2 : Duplicate the layer by going to layer/duplicate layer or by pressing ctrl/j.

Step 3 : Go to Edit/Transform/Flip Horizontal.

Step 4 : Add a mask to the layer by clicking on the add layer mask button .

Step 5 : Press the D key on your keyboard, to reset the colors to the default setting.

Step 6 : Select the Gradient tool, and make a gradient like this.



Step 7 : Select linear gradient.



Step 8 : Draw a line from left to right.

And this is the end result.
