I can see you have put a lot of effort in cutting images and pictures to get a sort of collage for you header, mp3player etc. very accurate work!
What I think is a bit disturbing in the first image as the headers given: user login, news & entertainment, i dont like the way it is wrapped up in the transparent white box. Otherwise I think the first image is a nice piece of work.
I prefer the first one form the second. The only thing that makes the second design attractive are the brushes you applied and their gradient. It fits really nice with the background, giving a natural look and beauty (maybe if you plan in having a webpage that has to do with something like the nature animals etc.) This would be a good way to market it with. However the userbar is totally out of place. You should leave the search option where it is, just the userbar has to be created and placed in a different way. The thing you need to keep in mind is that when people visit you site the userbar is at an unusual place and does not really fuse with the background. I m not talking about the colors but about the fact that it is situated ontop right side (more or less location instead of background
) So you gotta change that otherwise that ll give you minus points when trying to market it. I dont assume that you want to do that yet, but keep those tips in mind I gave you it will give your site a more aesthetic look
