V-Webmail is a server-based program and needs PHP to function. Do you have WAMP installed on your PC? If not, Google WAMP, download and install it, then give it another try. WAMP is meant for PHP designers who work locally before uploading to their server.

This will still make it a local install on your PC, not installed on a Web server; may or may not function until it is on a server.

Hope this helps.

thanks for your reply,i have wamp5 installed in my computer and i put the v-webmail folder in my www directory.when i try to run it it gives me the following configuration error:

Configuration error
Unfortunately this application needs the imap extension
loaded and the version of php to be at least 4.1.0 to run.
Other configuration parameters may also be faulty.

Parsing config file:
Config file local.config.xml:
IMAP Extension loaded:
PHP Version:
Log directory writeable:
Temp directory writeable:
Userdata directory writeable:
Short tags enabled:
File uploads enabled:

Now i thinks i have not configured my application properly or is it because i'm trying to run it on localhost?your reply will be appreciated
