Hey guys,

I need help trying to get my site put in all major search engines (Google, Yahoo, Live...) I'm going to honest and say I have no idea what I'm doing. Can some one please help me out

you must choose one. If it is Google then you will have lower chance of ranking well in yahoo because they have different algorithm.

like junkie said Search Engine has different algorithm. in order to do that.. you must study and experiment by doing SEO basic from on page and off page..

Junki is right. Ranking in all 3 search engines is not easy. So choose one to devout your time and effort because in SEO you need a lot of patience.

What you need to do is start with your site. Work with on-page optimization (title, keyword, description, content, site navigation). After that do off-page optimization. You must build links in quality sites by forum posting, blog commeting, social bookmarking, etc.
