Hello

This is the Tutorial number 70 from the 100 Marathon Tutorial As i have told you i will try to add a tutorial each day.

I will show you a nice text effect, very used on web.
The text will have a nice metallic border



Open a new document in photoshop
Size should be 400 x 400 pixels
Color: white

Type some random text



now add the following layer styles







This is the result



be sure you have the text layer selected. then go to Select > Load selection (When a new window appear press OK )



Go to Select > modify > Expand and use the following settings



This is the result



Now select the background layer, then press CTRL+SHIFT+ALT+N
Then with this new layer selected go to Edit > fill and use the following settings



Press on CTRL+D to deselect
then add the following layer styles on this button

I am new here because I want to study Photoshop CS2
I am very good at PSP, a little with Corel, work with Flash

Yesterday I opened my Photoshop and I see that I can't type a text on empty new image. I started to read help:
Some about Image ready, commit button, strange things and everything what I try working for hours....

Could somebody explain how to write text on empty new image?

I wanted to try this turorial but can't even to start.
